Evangeline "Eva" R. Kopp, 93, of North Canton, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, in Hanover House of Massillon.
She was born March 11, 1919, in Sharon, Pa., to Russell and Ruth (Price) Jones. She was a housewife, former member of the Minerva library board and was the Gray Lady at M.I. Day Elementary for many years. She was also a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church ,where she served on several committees.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Philip Kopp, who died Feb. 10, 1978; a sister, Mary Lou Grim; and two brothers, James and Robert Jones.
She is survived by a daughter, Lynne (Steve) Schalf of Florida; three sons, Ladd (Sue) Kopp of Farmington, Utah, Lee (Kay) Kopp of North Canton, who was a former mayor of Minerva, and Lewis Kopp of Culver, Ind.; two sisters, Margaret Clark of Hermitage, Pa., and Betty Lutton of Hermitage, Pa.; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 16, 1 p.m., at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Minerva with the Rev. Steven Woyen officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
