Margaret "Jeanne" Kistner, 83, of Minerva, died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017, in Aultman Compassionate Care.
She was born Sept. 20, 1933, in East Rochester to Sam and Nannie (Hultz) Blevins. She retired from the Little Forest Inn in Malvern and had worked for the Zoar Hotel, LeeAnn's Restaurant in Minerva and the Desert Inn in Canton.
She is a member of the East Rochester United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Minerva High School.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Kistner Sr., who died in 2007; son, John Kistner Jr.; brothers, Austin and Sam Blevins and sister, Marjorie Blevins. She is survived by daughter, Teresa Unkefer of Minerva; sister, Charlotte Boord of East Rochester; brother Roy Blevins of Minerva; and three grandchildren, Traci (Christopher) Weygandt of Massillon, Amber Lee of Anchorage, Alaska, and Donald Unkefer Jr. of Minerva; six great-grandchildren, Tristan and Finnegan D'Amato, Matthew and Andrew Weygandt, and Jacob and Nathaniel Stovall.
Funeral services were held Jan. 7 in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva, with the Rev. Scott Williams officiating. Burial was in East Lawn Cemetery. Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
