Imogene 'Ima' Brandenburg

Imogene "Ima" Brandenburg, 77, of Lisbon, died Saturday, April 1, 2017, in the St. Joseph's Care Center in Louisville.

She was born Aug. 7, 1939, in Itmann, W.Va. to Ora and Effie (Short) Sargent. She was a housewife and member of the Waynesburg Free Will Baptist Church. She graduated from Stoco High School in Coal City, W.Va. in 1957.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence "Larry" Brandenburg, who died in 2004. She is survived by two daughters, Danita (John) Baughman of Malvern, and Susan (Raymond) Mingus of Lisbon; son, L. Damon (Violet) Brandenburg of Mingo Junction, two sisters, Shirley (Arnold) Lilly of White Plains, Md., Virginia (Randall) McKinney of Darien, Ill., 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 6, at 11 a.m. in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with the Rev. Raymond Stanley officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery near East Canton. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 5, 6-8 p.m. The family would like to thank the St. Joseph's Care Center and all of their staff for all of their loving care.
