The second annual Minerva Jazz Festival will feature a free performance by the John Trapani Big Band on Saturday, Feb. 27, at 1 p.m. in the Minerva High School auditeria.
Doors will open for the festival at 9:30 a.m. and performances by jazz bands from Northwest High School, Minerva High School and Minerva Middle School will begin at 10 a.m.
The festival is free and open to the public. The John Trapani Big Band's performance is made possible by funding from the American Federation of Musicians and a SmArts grant from Arts in Stark.
Sitting in with the John Trapani Big Band on trombone will be Minerva High School's band director, Derrick Maxey.
A concession stand and bake sale will be available throughout the day.
