In order to assure students the best possible testing environment for the state-mandated Ohio Graduation Tests, Malvern High School will observe a delayed start testing schedule March 15-19.
Middle school and elementary times will not be affected by this change and buses will run at the normal times. Junior and senior students who do not need to take any parts of the test and who do not have transportation to school for the 9:35 a.m. start, may ride the bus to school at the normal time. Early arriving students will be assigned to the cafeteria from arrival until 9:35 a.m.
All freshmen and sophomore students need to arrive to school each day by 7:35 a.m. and report to their assigned testing room. Lists will be posted at each entrance to the building and the room assignment will be the same each day of testing.
Any junior or senior student who needs to pass any part of the test should also arrive at school each day they are to take a test by 7:35 a.m. and report tot high-school room 118 for testing. Juniors or seniors do not need to report on days they do not have a test until 9:30 a.m.
Any junior or senior student who does not need to take any of the graduation tests need to report to his/her first period class by 9:35 a.m. each day. Those arriving earlier than 9:35 a.m. should report to the cafeteria.
The daily high-school schedule for the week of March 15-19 will be as follows: 7:35-9:30 a.m., testing; 9:35-10:03 a.m., first period; 10:05-10:35 a.m., second period; 10:39-11:21 a.m., fifth period; 11:25 a.m.-12:07 p.m., sixth period; 12:11-12:53 p.m., seventh period; 12:57-1:17 p.m., third period; 1:19-1:39 p.m., fourth period; 1:43-2:03 p.m., eighth period; and 2:05-2:25 p.m., ninth period.
Students will be expected to report to all classes on their second semester schedules during the correct period as listed above each of the testing dates. Any conflicts must be resolved with the high-school principal before March 10.
