Minerva students take community field trip

Published:

Minerva Elementary School second graders went on a community field trip on May 20, visiting the post office, Chase Bank, Minerva Historical Society, and police station.

The children first walked to the Minerva Post Office, where they were given a tour and shown the process of how mail is sorted. They then walked to Chase Bank, where they were shown the safety deposit boxes and inside the ATM.

Next they went to the Minerva Historical Society's Haas Museum and were told about the history of Minerva. They also went to the Minerva Police Station and were given a tour of the jail, the booking room, and inside a police car.

The children learned a lot and had a lot of fun. Thank you to everyone that helped make this field trip possible.
