Well-known Christian minstrel pianist David McClintock will present a concert Sunday, Aug. 20, at 6 p.m. at The Minerva Nazarene Church Lighthouse Cafe. The public is cordially invited and refreshments will be served after the concert. A love offering will be taken.

Minerva Wax Paper and James River reunion in need of volunteers

The next Minerva Wax Paper Company and James River Corporation reunion will be held in 2019 on its 100th anniversary. No one has volunteered to be on a committee so far and with no volunteers, the event will not be scheduled. To volunteer, call 330-862-2072.

Lotze family participates in Silver King Festival Dick and Geraldine Lotze of Robertsville spent Aug. 3-5 in Plymouth, Ohio where they trailer camped and attended the 29th annual Silver King Festival. Dick displayed his 1947 Silver King tractor among the 23 entries from 11 states.

DanceAbel Ballroom Studio to host zumba class by donation

DanceAbel Ballroom Studio is offering a free Zumba class on Aug. 24, 6 p.m. with a donation of a food item or a school supply donation. All donations will go to the Minerva weekend backpack food program and to Minerva Elementary. Folks do not have to participate if they wish to only donate.

Garden club meets at Springhill Farm

Members of the Mohawk Trail Garden Club met on July 18 at Springhill Farm in Carrollton. There were 18 members and two guests present. Those who wished picked blueberries before the meeting. President Shirley Finefrock conducted the meeting. The program was "Herbs with Anna Fisher.
